Privacy Policy

Everything in Who Made This happens on your device. The app has no servers: nothing you do in it is collected, stored, or sent anywhere. There are no accounts and no ads. We can't sell, share, or lose your data, because we never have it.
This policy explains what information Who Made This ("the app") collects and the choices you have. The app is made by Miscellaneous Digital ("we", "us"). It applies to the app and to this website.
01What we collect
Nothing. The app works entirely on your device. It has no user accounts and no servers of ours to send anything to. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, browsing history, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Camera. With your permission, the app uses the camera so it can look at the thing you're asking about. What the camera sees is processed on your device, in the moment. Images are not saved to your photo library or anywhere else, and they are never transmitted off your device.
Diagnostics. If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may share basic crash reports and anonymized usage statistics with us. These come through Apple's standard frameworks, help us find and fix bugs, and contain no personally identifying information. You can turn this off at any time.
02How the app works
All processing happens on your device. When the app answers a question, it computes that answer locally; no query, image, or result leaves your phone. This isn't a promise to handle your data carefully. It's an architecture in which there is no data to handle.
03Third parties
None. The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, no cloud AI services, and no data brokers. Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is collected.
04Retention and deletion
We retain nothing, so there is nothing to delete. Anything the app keeps for its own operation (such as settings) lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

05Your choices and rights
- Camera. The app only accesses the camera with your permission, which you can revoke at any time in your device's Settings.
- Diagnostics. You can disable analytics sharing in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
- Everything else. Deleting the app removes everything it ever stored, because all of it lived on your device.
- Legal rights. Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. We hold none, but email us and we will confirm that in writing if you need it.
06Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
07Security
The strongest security measure available is not holding data in the first place. Because nothing leaves your device, your use of the app is protected by your device's own security: its passcode, encryption, and app sandboxing.
08Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, we will update this page, change the effective date above, and call out the change in the app's release notes before it applies to you.
